Roscoe Daniel Anderson 61, of Charleroi, born on September 22, 1961 passed on February 19, 2023. He was a graduate of Monessen High School, after graduation he left to serve in the United States Navy. He worked as a diesel engineer for the state of California’s transit authority, an engineer for Mon River Towing in Speers and also had a masters in bricklaying. Roscoe loved cooking, baking, having family gatherings, having weekends with his great nieces and nephews, and keeping the family together.
He was the son of the late Thelma (Chapman) Anderson and Deacon Emmanuel Anderson Sr.. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, MaryAnn Rawls and Flora Madison and brothers, Emmanuel Anderson Jr, Clearance Anderson, Lennie Anderson Sr, Raven William Anderson, and Darnell Anderson.
He leaves to cherish his memory sisters, JoAnn Smith, of Uniontown, PA and Carol Ann Steed of San Jose, Ca and sister-in-laws, Cynthia D Anderson, and Jessica Anderson of Monessen. His niece and caretaker that was more like a daughter to him, Kiesha Anderson, his nephew, and caretaker Lennie Anderson both of Monessen, his nephew that was like a son to him, Ray Williams, of Charleroi, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Roscoe loved going to church and serving Jesus at The Church of Sutersville. He was loved by everyone that knew him, he will be deeply missed.
Friends will be received on Tuesday February 28th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Corrine E. Miller, 88, of Sutersville, died Friday, March 17, 2023. She was born September 8, 1934 in Sutersville, a daughter of the late Frank and Enes (Zachetti) Rocco. Corrine was a member of The Church of Sutersville. Everyone who knew her realized her love for her Savior.
Surviving are five children, Nelson “Lee” Miller, III and wife Linda, Dwight Miller, Coleen Kudlik and husband, Mark, Kenneth Miller and wife, Nina, and Kevin Miller and wife, Rhonda; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Frank Rocco and wife, Betty; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Leroy Miller, Jr.; brother, Charles Bigi; sister, Edith Cianciotti; and daughter-in-law, Darlene Miller.
Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday and 9-11 am Wednesday, followed by a service at 11 am at The Church, 1683 Mars Hill Rd., Sutersville. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. Kathy L. Carnes, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, when she passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 25, 1956, in McKeesport, and was a daughter of the late Harold "Poison" and Josephine "Dolly" (Goslicky) Weigand. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeremy; and her brother, Kerry H. Weigand.
Prior to retiring, she was a phlebotomist, having worked at Forbes Hospital for 12 years. She had also helped her husband for more than 30 years at their business in Mt. Pleasant, Carnes Auto, in the office. Kathy was a member of The Church, in Sutersville. She loved to listen to, and also sing, gospel music. She also enjoyed going to bingo. She was a "cat mom" to her many cats. Her family meant the world to her, especially her grandchildren, holding a special place in her heart.
Kathy is survived by her beloved husband and caregiver of 34 years, John "Bob" Carnes Sr.; her daughter, Jennifer (James) Bauer, of Charleroi; three sons, Jamie (Tracey) Pomaibo, of Penn Trafford, Michael (Wendy Bergmark) Pomaibo, of Venetia, and John R. (Marisa Knopsnider) Carnes Jr., of Greensburg; eight special grandchildren, Emily, Zoe, Nicholas, Lacey, Keira, Rezon, Elijah and Noah; two sisters, Karen (Ronald) Nelson, of Herminie, and Karlene (Dale) Krisantz, of Lowber; her brother, Karl R. "Jake" (Angelita) Weigand, of Elizabeth Township; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Kathy will be forever be remembered for being selfless; she always put others before herself. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and customers she made over the years at the shop.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME, 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15627; 724-446-7251. A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Frank Rocco officiating.
